International Business and Law


Established in 1995. Initially it was called "International Commercial Faculty". Its first enrollment - 26 students (major: International Business). The faculty was renamed into International Business and Law Faculty in 1997.

The faculty trains economists, economists-managers, lawyers specialists for customs and service and tourism.

Main research-and-production trends:
• activities of economic and law departments at railway transport enterprises, exchanges, banks, audit, finance and insurance companies as well as in investment funds and law companies
• activities of marketing and advertising departments
• development of comprehensive programms for restructuring business-projects and business-lines in structural divisions of various companies
• organization of foreign trade transactions, international shipment and contracting

The faculty comprises nine departments:

• Russian and Oriental Languages
• English Language

The faculty has been cooperating with specialists from different countries (the USA, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Germany, Japan, China, the Korean People's Democratic Republic, the Republic of Korea and others), organizing student and lecturer exchanges, internship and training of foreign students and post-graduates.

Over 5,000 specialists have graduated from the faculty.

The faculty graduates are heads of major companies, they work in banks, oil and gas companies and "RZhD" JSC. Special pride of the faculty is I.V. Sushchenko, Vice-President of TNC – BP Oil Company, a graduate qualified in International Business.
